Much
of HR KAMINS' paintings are created 'en plein air', a
French term which literally
translates as 'in the open air'.
This style of painting is largely
associated with the Impressionist movement of the late 19th and early 20th centuries when artists became interested in capturing
the essence of a scene.
Concentration
on changing light, color, and movement using quick brushstrokes are major objectives for the plein air artist.
